AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Reporting to the Supervisor, Foreperson, Supervisor on Duty, provides administrative support to the Supervisors and Forepersons within the Parks Maintenance and Operations Division.
- Provides quality customer service and reception at the various field houses throughout Brampton.
- Responds to inquires and complaints from the public using the electronic customer service systems; records, dispatches and closes service requests.
- Communicate with the public and business partners with follow up on service requests.
- Provides reception, receiving, sorting and preparing mail for dispatch.
- Log daily time card and verify information.
- Updates H&S, CUPE and other communication media boards.
- Data entry for the payroll, financials and the asset inventory systems.
- Cash handling and inputting into Point of Sale (CLASS).
- Word processing and composing correspondence.
- Meeting arrangements, such as coordination, minute taking, and distribution.
- Manages files and provides documentation as needed.
- Acts as back up to other clerical staff.
- Ensures confidentiality expectations are met at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
- Grade 12 education or equivalent;
- Minimum six months experience or equivalent;
- Excellent interpersonal, and communications skills both oral and written; ability to effectively deal with complaints and inquiries from the public
- Detail orientated with good mathematical skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Problem solving/conflict resolution with the ability to deal with confrontational situations
- High degree of initiative
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Software
- Experience in IMS or Hansen 8 an asset
- Current Standard First Aid / CPR C / AED from one of the following: Lifesaving Society, Red Cross, St. Johns, Canadian Ski patrol
- Successful candidates will be required to submit a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check, at their own expense, prior to commencing employment

LOCATION: This position is located at The Rose Theatre which includes bars indoors, as well as outdoors on the patio during Garden Square events.
The Rose Theatre is a municipally owned, first class Performing Arts venue in the heart of downtown Brampton, a fast growing cultural destination. Opened in 2006, the state-of-the-art venue is designed with a main theatre that seats 868 patrons and secondary space that can be used simultaneously, accommodating up to 100 patrons. Garden Square, located outside The Rose, presents a variety of artistic, cultural and theatrical events for all ages free of charge. The City of Brampton's Performing Arts venues present relevant, unique and exciting performances for a diverse community, and is committed to quality and extraordinary programming.
HOURLY RATE: $15.00 per hour

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Reporting to the Supervisor on Duty this position is responsible for professionally preparing and serving refreshments while providing excellent customer service.
- Provide a high level of front line customer service including greeting and engaging customers in product selection
- Responsible for the preparation and serving of drinks and food while practicing “selling up” method of sales
- Follow operating and drink and food preparation standards
- Work with team to open and close service area following established procedures
- Complete administrative duties in a timely manner (eg. revenue reports, incident/accident reports, opening and closing procedures)
- Anticipate volume and prepare items to meet demand
- Receive, check, and re-stock inventory as required
- Maintain clean and safe work stations and equipment at all times
- Utilize problem solving and conflict resolution skills, using sound judgement and diplomacy in confrontational situations
- Maintain complete vigilance while on duty and be ready to respond to any emergency situation
- Report all concerns, accidents and incidents to immediate supervisor and take appropriate action
- Assist in special events
- Understand, adhere to, and enforce Corporate Policies & Procedures, Confidentiality Guidelines, Emergency Procedures and Health and Safety Standards for all participants and staff
- Attend meetings/training as required
- Performs other duties as assigned

- Valid “G2” Ontario driver’s license and ability to obtain City of Brampton Off Road Vehicle Operator’s Permit (Golf Course only)
