AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Reporting to the Manager, Customer Experience. This position provides support to the Revenue Coordinator, counts and processes daily fare box revenues for timely deposit to financial institutions. Prepares and records fare media, inventory and supply orders for disbursement to internal locations.
- Sort, wrap and balance coins generated from daily cash revenues and other miscellaneous revenues; prepare bank deposits for pick-up and delivery to financial institution.
- Prepare coin orders for Transit Service Centres; accurately count report and deposit monies received in exchange.
- Provide information to organizations/internal departments regarding fare media; process and prepare ticket orders for sale from orders received through the general mailbox.
- Liaise with administration staff to ensure ticket orders and revenues from front office sales are received and reported accurately.
- Maintain the Transit Supply Order Form file; prepare orders for Transit Service Centres.
- Perform delivery and collection functions for the Transit Service Centre locations and other various internal locations, as needed.
- Maintain and document all fare media and supply movement in the appropriate files; informs management of variances and low inventory levels in a timely manner.
- Perform weekly and annual inventory cycle counts.
- Prepare daily revenue summary reports for submission to management.
- Receive and verify defective Presto cards; prepare card forms for return to vendor including photocopying forms and verifying card forms against CLASS entries.
- Provide support with electronic file creation, storage and destruction; prepare documents for mail and delivery and photocopying, as needed.
- Work cooperatively with other members of the team to ensure all areas of operation run in an efficient and professional manner.
- Ensure security and safety procedures are adhered to and controlled access to the Revenue Room is maintained.
- Maintain Revenue Room, including cleaning coin equipment/work area, filing, and re-stocking supplies.
- Provide assistance in the training of new employees.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

- Support the objectives and philosophies of the league program as established by the Recreation Division through quality customer and staff relations.
- Ensure supervision of players and provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants by adhering to department safety standards and assisting with emergency procedures.

- Rebuild pitchers mounds to a specific grade, and grade infields and warning tracks.
- Repair furniture (benches, bleachers, lining boxes), marking sports field lines and determine sports field playability, opening sport field gates, turning on lights and conduct sports field inspections.
- Hand shovel and sand bridges, steps and walkways.
- Erect, inspect, repair, replace snow fence.
- Maintain outdoor ice rinks which includes install, repair, boards removal, and inspections.
- Responsible for carrying out ice rink inspections and checks on Community Ice Rinks in parks.
- May conduct inspections of snow clearing and ice control of recreational trails and parking lots.
- Responsible for maintenance of garbage barrels, litter picking, cleaning in park land, Cemeteries and in City yards. Maintain inventories of supplies, and coordinates distribution of supplies.
- Maintain playgrounds, parks washroom facilities, painting, bench repairs, tennis court repairs, cement work, lining box repairs and refilling, park fence repairs, water course clean up, sign repairs and installation, special events, staging pickup and
- delivery, hand delivering fliers, installation of goal posts and foul posts, jobs involving hand tools.
- Edge and raise and install flat cemetery markers, assist with burials and asphalt (hot and cold).
- Prepares and maintains annual beds, shrub beds and planters, including selecting and planting flowers/shrubs, laying topsoil, applying fertilizer, and developing a program of care.
- Prunes shrubs to maintain dimensions based on accepted standards. Inspects beds and performs required maintenance.
- May lead part time staff in the application of practices and policies.
- Perform Integrated Pest management activities such as: monitoring, inspections and maintenance of invasive species citywide. This includes but not limited to woodlots, trees, shrubs, watercourses, hard surfaces and turfgrass.
- Performs additional related duties as required.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
- Over six (6) months, up to and including one (1) year experience in parks maintenance
- A valid Ontario class ‘G’ driver’s license and ability to acquire City of Brampton Equipment Operators Permit
- Must possess a good working knowledge of outdoor parks maintenance and use of required personal safety clothing/equipment
- Able to perform required duties with minimal supervision
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Reporting to the Recreation Programmer/Recreation Coordinator, the Head Instructor will plan, organize and implement a high quality program that is stimulating and enjoyable for all participants. Provide supervision, guidance and coaching to staff and volunteers. Responsible for the safety and wellbeing of registered participants at all times.
- Recruit, supervise, coach and evaluate staff
- Assist with promotion of programs
- Assist with develop, deliver and document staff training and meetings
- Plan, organize and deliver high quality safe and stimulating programs for all levels of participants
- Prepare lessons and materials for the preschool programs
- Maintain complete vigilance while on duty and be ready to respond to any emergency situation
