AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Support the Internal Audit team by assisting with report writing, editing, and proofreading to ensure clear, accurate, and professional communication of audit findings and recommendations. You will also help prepare other necessary communication materials, such as presentations and summaries. Additionally, your role will involve conducting periodic research and jurisdictional scanning to support audit projects. Your contributions will be essential in providing efficient and timely support to ensure the smooth operation of the Internal Audit function.
• Prepare, edit, and proofread audit reports, project documents, presentations, web content, and other internal audit materials to ensure they align with the Internal Audit team’s mandate and are clear, concise, and professionally presented.
• Assist in the development of charts, job aids, and training materials to support the Internal Audit team in enhancing audit processes and knowledge sharing.
• Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, utilizing styles, templates, tables, track changes, and document formatting to create polished, professional reports and documentation.
• Contribute to audit research by assisting audit staff in gathering and preparing relevant data, findings, and recommendations for inclusion in audit reports.
• Organize and maintain all audit-related documentation, including reports, presentations, and supporting materials, ensuring they are securely stored and easily accessible for future reference or review.
• Ensure that all documents and communication materials adhere to established internal audit guidelines, policies, and procedures, while also complying with municipal or public sector regulations.
• Ensure the timely and high-quality completion of project deliverables and documentation as assigned, meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
• Maintain a strong understanding of departmental programs and services, ensuring that your work is aligned with the department’s objectives and goals.
• Perform other duties and tasks as required, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the Internal Audit team.

**Preference will be given to students that have a permanent residency in Brampton.
