Job Description

 

 

Position Duties:

 

Under the direction of the Supervisor, provide program and/or administrative support to the division, while providing excellent customer service to internal and external clients. Ensure efficient and professional delivery of programs, services, and customer relations.

  • Respond to customer inquiries /concerns and provide information regarding programs and services
  • Assist with administrative duties as related to the area of work
  • Assist in the planning, coordination and evaluation of programs and special events
  • Assist in the recruitment and training of staff and volunteers
  • Maintain records and prepare reports as required
  • Communicate and follow up with business partners as required
  • Process and accept payments for point of sale transactions
  • Assist with data entry
  • Maintain an understanding of department programs and services
  • Understand, adhere to, and enforce Corporate Policies & Procedures, Confidentiality Guidelines, Emergency Procedures and Health and Safety Standards for all participants and staff
  • Attend meetings/training as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Selection Criteria:

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent
  • Minimum one year related experience
  • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to deal with difficult situations
  • Detail orientated and high degree of initiative
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Intermediate computer skills as related to area of work (Word/Excel/Outlook/CLASS/Hansen)
  • Submit or agree to a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check
  • Current Standard First Aid / CPR / AED from an accredited organization

 ** Various tests and/or exams may be administered as part of the selection criteria.
